Yoga Instructor, Swedish Massage Practitioner
Yoga started as a physical practice for me but It quickly evolved into an understanding of the mind and body connection, and helped me discover a form of balance in different aspects of my life. Yoga has inspired me to become a more calm, positive and energetic person towards myself and others, it has completely helped shape who I am in this present time. After this realization I wanted to learn more and discover all the possibilities that were now available to me. I started taking private lessons at a Sivananda Yoga centre in Toronto and became more open to all the different styles and philosophies of Yoga. In 2011 I completed my first 200 hour training in Nicaragua, it was such a beautiful place to learn and feel all that Yoga has to offer. It encouraged me to have strength, awareness and independence.
I am eternally thankful to Alysa Treen and Kimberly Waugh for such amazing knowledge and guidance.
My classes are Vinyasa/Hatha style with a focus on breath, core strengthening and balance. I want my students to have fun, be challenged and grow in their own personal practice.
Favourite Yoga Posture: I like arm balances, specifically Bakasana (Crow Pose). Arm balances are such a great combination of strength, balance and focus, they are also really fun to practice and when you fall, you can’t help but get back up and try again.
